• Church of Sweden in Los Angeles is inviting you to a conversation at 2 p.m. on April 7, 2019 about the possible disastrous effects of drunk driving. Three years ago Swedish MMA fighter Marcus Kowal and his wife Mishel Kowal’s 15-month-old son Liam was killed when a drunk driver struck his stroller. The conversation is about Marcus’ fight against drunk driving and living life after the worst possible tragedy you can imagine.

• At Norwegian Seamen’s Church, 1035 S. Beacon St., San Pedro - $10 donation at the door will go to Liam’s Life Foundation to raise awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and to lobby for policy change.
